Ninilchik

image_map

We didn’t have very far to go to reach Homer but we do not have to be there ‘till tomorrow so we split the trip to two very short days.  Ninilchik has a Passport America park with full hookups, wifi, laundry, cable, etc.  Don’t see all that in full price parks around here.

The road south goes along the eastern edge of Cook Inlet with views like this much of the way.

We drove the GV down to the beach to get more views and watch people clamming.

Then over to a river to watch fishing.  Saw one man catch a good size fish.  He played it for a while but then lost it.

Here is an example of the satellite dishes up here.  Note the angle of the dish.  It appears to be pointed toward the ground.  Further north the angle is even more.

Tomorrow to Homer where sightseeing is a bit better defined.
