A new Adventure Begins
Day one of what we hope will be a tour of the Four Corners area.
First a semi-side trip to Southern California to attend a memorial for a dear friend and to see son Michael who is visiting there for awhile.
Great start! Hottest day of the year for all of California and all of southwest. Even hotter forecast for the next several days.
Took 99 south instead of I5 for several reasons. More diversity of things to see. Lots of cities/towns on road for services should they be needed. Several options for Elks lodges with RV parking.
We got to Visalia Elks in early afternoon. Hooked up, started A/C, registered and paid, had lunch, and then went shopping for a couple of hours to a number of stores. (A/C in car is much more efficient and rapidly comfortable than waiting for carbus to cool) RV was comfortable when we returned and we spent evening with a short walk and some TV.
